Project Overview
The focus was on developing a platform that enabled entities to seamlessly mint tokens associated with carbon capture initiatives. This involved integrating blockchain capabilities to ensure the authenticity and traceability of carbon credits, thereby fostering trust among stakeholders.
We also implemented two critical components:
Guardian Policy Implementation
Utilizing the Guardian platform on the Hedera network, this component establishes a standardized policy framework for minting carbon capture tokens. This ensures compliance with industry standards and enhances the credibility of the tokens.
Onboarding Automation
Transitioning from a manual, error-prone onboarding process to an automated system significantly improves operational efficiency. This automation reduces the likelihood of errors and accelerates the onboarding timeline for new entities.
Project Goals
Enable Carbon Capture Tokenization
Develop and implement a robust system that allows entities to onboard and mint tokens representing carbon capture.
Ensure compliance with industry standards by integrating Guardian policies for secure and transparent token minting.
Automate and Optimize Onboarding Processes
Transition from a manual, error-prone onboarding process to an automated system that improves efficiency, reduces mistakes, and accelerates entity registration.
Integrate onboarding workflows with policy creation, role assignments, and validation mechanisms for seamless adoption.
Enhance CRU Policy and Verification Capabilities
Implement, adapt, and validate the CRU (Carbon Registry Unit) within the system, ensuring it meets tokenization and compliance requirements.
Improve verification mechanisms, including signatures, validation protocols, and policy data provisioning.
Strengthen System Security, Infrastructure, and Integration
Establish authentication and security mechanisms to protect onboarding and tokenization processes.
Evaluate and integrate IoT data calculations to support automated verification of carbon capture data.
Ensure smooth integration with external platforms like Tolam Marketplace for token transactions.

CRU Implementation & Policy Development
Conducted in-depth research and validation for CRU integration within the dMRV Dev environment.
Developed and adapted the B4E CRU policy to fit Blockchain For Energy’s needs.
Verified and validated extra data requirements with key stakeholders (N&P, Enovate).
Ensured proper policy provisioning, verification, and schema validation for CRU tokenization.
Automated Onboarding System
Designed, implemented, and tested automated onboarding workflows.
Developed user registration processes, including operator role assignment and policy assignation.
Integrated AWS services (S3, EventBridge, Config) into the onboarding system.
Ensured the registration and validation of key onboarding entities (CET, CRU, REC).
Automated key tasks such as policy creation, publishing, and monitoring job status.
System Infrastructure & Security Enhancements
Updated and optimized the Guardian version to align with the latest developments.
Integrated authentication mechanisms for both tools and external integrations.
Evaluated and proposed Infra as Code (SST) solutions to improve deployment efficiency.
Developed API configurations, security measures (ESLint, alias imports), and best practices for maintainability.
Verification & Marketplace Integration
Analyzed and understood CRU verification methodologies (VPA, VVB, Signatures).
Integrated with external platforms such as Tolam Marketplace to enhance token utility.
Developed onboarding support mechanisms to streamline marketplace interactions.
