The Challenge
The DeFi trading space has no shortage of competitors. Axiom, Universal, and others have carved out segments of the market, but none offer the full picture: a truly non-custodial, cross-chain broker with integrated audit tooling, advanced order types, and a mobile-first experience in a single, unified product.
Byrrgis set out to build exactly that. The challenge was turning a complex multi-chain architecture (spanning multiple liquidity providers, real-time market data, on-chain smart contract audits, and async execution logic) into a trading experience that feels effortless for the end user.
Our Approach
We started with a structured product discovery phase to align on architecture, UX priorities, and the phased rollout of features. From there, a cross-functional team of nine engineers took ownership of every layer of the stack.
The cross-chain swap engine routes liquidity through LiFi and Jupiter, with Alchemy as the primary RPC layer. Gelato handles automated execution for stop-loss and take-profit orders. Mobula powers the real-time market data and charting layer, while automated token audits surface contract-level risk signals before a user executes a trade.
On the infrastructure side, Azure hosts the platform with Redis and BullMQ managing high-throughput async workloads. Smart contracts are written in Solidity and tested end-to-end with Foundry. The React Native mobile app mirrors the full web feature set for traders who operate on the go.
Results
Byrrgis launched as a fully non-custodial, cross-chain trading platform with a feature set that goes beyond what existing DeFi brokers offer. Traders get one-click swaps across chains, automated risk signals on every token, and advanced order tools, all without giving up custody of their assets. Development is ongoing, with new chains and features shipping continuously.
