The Challenge
The energy industry has been talking about carbon markets for decades, but the operational reality is still spreadsheets, PDFs, and trust-by-handshake. B4E set out to fix that, and doing so required a partner who could navigate Web3 architecture, regulated industry constraints, and a startup-grade delivery cadence at the same time.
The focus was on developing a platform that enabled entities to seamlessly mint tokens associated with carbon-capture initiatives, integrating blockchain capabilities to ensure the authenticity and traceability of carbon credits, and to foster trust among stakeholders.
Our Approach
We embedded a senior Web3 cell with hands-on Hedera and Guardian experience and ran discovery, architecture, and incremental delivery in tight weekly loops with the founding team. Two components became the backbone of the platform:
Guardian Policy Implementation: Using the Guardian platform on the Hedera network, we established a standardized policy framework for minting carbon-capture tokens. This ensures compliance with industry standards and enhances the credibility of every credit issued.
Onboarding Automation: Transitioning from a manual, error-prone onboarding process to an automated system significantly improves operational efficiency, reduces the likelihood of errors, and accelerates the onboarding timeline for new entities.
Results
- A production-grade tokenization platform live on Hedera with verifiable, policy-bound issuance.
- Onboarding cycles reduced from days of manual work to a self-service automated flow.
- A maintainable codebase the in-house team can own, extend, and audit.
- An ongoing partnership that continues to evolve the product quarter by quarter.
