Overview

About Collector Crypt

Collector Crypt brings real-world physical trading-card collectibles on-chain across multiple networks (Solana, Ethereum, Base, Monad, and ApeChain). Collectors vault their graded cards with insured storage partners, where each card is authenticated and tokenized as an NFT (one token per physical card). From there, users can buy, sell, trade, and redeem their cards, without the physical asset ever leaving the vault. The ecosystem spans a vault-and-marketplace platform, a gamified pack-opening product (Gacha), and additional products under active development.

The Challenge

Bringing a physical collectibles market on-chain meant solving problems most Web3 teams never touch at once: insured vault logistics, cross-chain interoperability, and consumer-grade checkout, all without ever letting a graded card leave its storage. Collector Crypt needed a product and engineering partner able to operate across Solana and multiple EVM networks (Ethereum, Base, Monad, and ApeChain), ship a peer-to-peer marketplace collectors would trust with high-value cards, and keep launching new products, like the gamified Gacha experience, without breaking what was already live.

Our Approach

SpaceDev works as part of Collector Crypt’s product and engineering team across its multi-product ecosystem. We help build the smart contracts powering the core vault-to-marketplace flow, the cross-chain bridge functionality that lets assets and activity move between supported networks, and the peer-to-peer swap functionality that lets collectors trade directly with each other. We also help lead the integration work that keeps onboarding frictionless: embedded wallets and social login through Privy, fiat and crypto payments through Coinflow, and the vaulting and grading partnerships with PSA, PWCC, and ALT that keep every physical card authenticated and insured. Beyond the core platform, our team helps build the Gacha mobile app and continues to provide maintenance support on the gamified pack-opening product.

Results

Collector Crypt is live, positioned as “like Fort Knox, but with a marketplace.” Collectors vault, tokenize, and trade physical cards end to end, with a marketplace that supports search, offers, and peer-to-peer swaps across major card franchises. The cross-chain bridge is live, frictionless onboarding and checkout are driving adoption, and the platform has scaled to a lifetime trading volume of more than $1.6 billion, with over 130,000 physical cards tokenized on-chain. The ecosystem keeps growing, with the Gacha product and an ongoing web redesign both in active delivery, and SpaceDev continues as Collector Crypt’s long-term product and engineering partner.

Objectives

What we set out to do

  1. 01

Deliver a secure, intuitive experience that turns physical collectibles into liquid, tradable digital assets.

  2. 02

Scale the platform across multiple blockchains while keeping a single, seamless user experience.

  3. 03

Modernize the web experience through an ongoing redesign that raises usability and visual quality.

  4. 04

Grow the ecosystem beyond the core marketplace with new products, like the gamified Gacha experience, built for a community of collectors.

What we delivered

Solutions shipped

  • Smart contract development for the core platform, powering on-chain functionality across multiple networks.

  • Cross-chain bridge functionality, enabling assets and activity to move across the supported blockchains.

  • Multichain support across EVM networks: Ethereum, Base, Monad, and ApeChain.

  • Peer-to-peer swap functionality, letting users trade cards directly with one another.

  • Integration of key third-party infrastructure: embedded wallets and social login (Privy), fiat and crypto payments (Coinflow), and vaulting and grading partners (PSA, PWCC, ALT).

  • Development of the Gacha mobile app, plus ongoing maintenance support on the gamified Gacha product.

  • Platform maintenance and reliability work across the core product.

The Outcome

Collector Crypt now runs a live, multichain platform where collectors vault, tokenize, and trade physical cards end to end. The marketplace supports search, offers, peer-to-peer swaps, and on-chain activity across major card franchises, backed by a live cross-chain bridge that moves assets and activity across supported blockchains. Frictionless onboarding and checkout, through embedded wallets, social login, and multiple payment methods, have helped the platform scale to more than $1.6 billion in lifetime trading volume and over 130,000 physical cards tokenized on-chain. The ecosystem keeps expanding, with the gamified Gacha experience and an ongoing web redesign both in active delivery.
