The Challenge
Bringing a physical collectibles market on-chain meant solving problems most Web3 teams never touch at once: insured vault logistics, cross-chain interoperability, and consumer-grade checkout, all without ever letting a graded card leave its storage. Collector Crypt needed a product and engineering partner able to operate across Solana and multiple EVM networks (Ethereum, Base, Monad, and ApeChain), ship a peer-to-peer marketplace collectors would trust with high-value cards, and keep launching new products, like the gamified Gacha experience, without breaking what was already live.
Our Approach
SpaceDev works as part of Collector Crypt’s product and engineering team across its multi-product ecosystem. We help build the smart contracts powering the core vault-to-marketplace flow, the cross-chain bridge functionality that lets assets and activity move between supported networks, and the peer-to-peer swap functionality that lets collectors trade directly with each other. We also help lead the integration work that keeps onboarding frictionless: embedded wallets and social login through Privy, fiat and crypto payments through Coinflow, and the vaulting and grading partnerships with PSA, PWCC, and ALT that keep every physical card authenticated and insured. Beyond the core platform, our team helps build the Gacha mobile app and continues to provide maintenance support on the gamified pack-opening product.
Results
Collector Crypt is live, positioned as “like Fort Knox, but with a marketplace.” Collectors vault, tokenize, and trade physical cards end to end, with a marketplace that supports search, offers, and peer-to-peer swaps across major card franchises. The cross-chain bridge is live, frictionless onboarding and checkout are driving adoption, and the platform has scaled to a lifetime trading volume of more than $1.6 billion, with over 130,000 physical cards tokenized on-chain. The ecosystem keeps growing, with the Gacha product and an ongoing web redesign both in active delivery, and SpaceDev continues as Collector Crypt’s long-term product and engineering partner.
