Blockchain Summit LATAM: Blockchain Crypto Holidays

Montevideo, Uruguay

On December 14, Juan Manuel Sobral (CTO, SpaceDev) participated in a panel on real-world asset (RWA) use cases at the Blockchain and Crypto Holiday Conference in Montevideo, described as "a notably lucrative and controversial area of blockchain."

The panel was moderated by Pamela Gonzalez Perilli (Web3 Pro) and also featured Valentin Jaremtchuk (WIN Investments, sports tokenization) and Fedor Bogorodskiy (Streampay, CrossFi and digital payments).

Sobral presented his thoughts on digital investment in art, citing the example of a Picasso painting tokenized and sold by Sygnum Bank. Pablo Zanetta Ferraro rounded out the discussion by emphasizing the importance of legal research and consultation in blockchain financial ventures.

RWAs represent one of the fastest-growing areas of Web3, bridging traditional financial instruments with decentralized rails. SpaceDev continues to work at this intersection, helping clients navigate the technical and compliance complexity of tokenizing real-world value.
